Founded in 2010, the company name uses Sam’s maiden name - Heard - and an abbreviation of Sales and Marketing (SAM).
Originally based in London's Covent Garden, Heard About Sam attracted some of the biggest bar and restaurant chains in the city.
Heard About Sam’s venture has evolved into a beacon of innovation and excellence in business strategy and development.
Working with clients such as Waitrose & Partners, Invenue, Sandals Resorts and Beaches, Carnival UK, CG Restaurants and Heineken.
A Consultancy Anchored in Passion and Excellence.
In 2013 - 2018 Sam was tasked by Southampton Football Club with building a brand strategy for its sister company, ‘Halo Conferences & Events,’ Sam’s leadership saw remarkable growth with revenues soaring from £800K to 3.2 M. This expansion included the recruitment of eleven new staff and the successful acquisition of the event hire contract at the cruise terminals. Under Sam’s guidance, the brand flourished, driving the commercial agenda forward and expanding its reach to include hosting concerts on the football pitch. Notable events, such as those headlined by Robbie Williams, Take That, and The Rolling Stones, attracted a staggering 32,000 visitors.
This piece of work then took Heard About Sam into a new direction offering new clients brand strategy within the business development programme.

Award Winning Sam McGrath has over 20 years’ experience in business development across multiple industries. Mainly in the hospitality and events industry Nationwide, whilst recently supporting not for profit, retail and technology companies.
Business Owners & senior management teams utilise her experience, in developing their strategies and plans and ensuring their alignment with the short-term and long-term objectives. Whilst working with their in-house teams on a regular basis to increase their performance and meet the wider targets.
Roles include 2024 Trailblazer for the Inspirational Women of Portsmouth Awards. Director of Operations, Marketing & Head of Sales, Event & Concerts and Project Director.
